・ This patented robot can measure autonomously its penetration resistance and soil moisture once transferring to a specific place as programmed guided by GPS data.
・ Manual control by remote controller is possible.
・ Automatic tilting function is fitted; the spindle can be tilted 10% of each direction when measuring the hardness so that the robot can compensate the unevenness of soils surface.

DIK-500R Penetrometer Robot was exhibited in ASA-CSSA-SSSA Annual Meeting 2019.

In generally speaking, it is said that under 2000 kPa of penetration resistance is preferable for crop roots extension. This robot can measure the soil hardness every 1・cm from surface soil to 90 cm depth with up to 5000kPa. When many measuring points are measured by manpower, the result is varied due to inconstant force to press.
Robot can act it’s accurate movement and repeatability. Also , productivity is increased. It enables to measure several hundreds of measuring points autonomously even if hard soil.
